    Wink

i was wondering what MSD ignition system you guys are using with your set-up...please be specific on what model you guys are using...

Currently i just bought the MSD SCI Sport Compact, this is for import cars..Any of you guys using the MSD 6A, i think this is for all applications....
Again please be specific on what modwls you guys are using!!
Does anyone have the MSD SCI, how do you like it?
Is the MSD SCI equivelent to the MSD 6A???

I need to know ASAP, Cause i might change my ignition unit to the MSD 6A

    set-up will be:

MSD blaster ss, Jim's MVM pulley, 440cc injectors, EFI PMS system, walbro fuel pump, JR fuel regulator

I have the MSD universal BTM which just retards timing under boost. It supposedly increases spark output a little and allows you to add a 6 series ignition later. I've been using this for about 4 years now with no problems (aside from my crappy wiring shorting out). A bang for the buck deal at only $160.00.

I also have an MSD Digital 6; And Vactor I was in the same boat as you. I ended up having to install it inside the cabin. (On the carpet, in that space between booth the passenger and driver foot section) lol didn't know how to describe it any better. (It's that space behind the cup holder/ radio going towards the engine bay.) I can email a pic if anyone wants.

I specifically chose the Digital 6 for it's two stage Rev limiter. I really like it but other than the Rev limiter it's not any better than the other MSD's that I noticed.

Vactor...I ended up using a momentary switch. Hold the button down and the 1 stage rev-limiter is set.

I originally wanted to tie it into my e-brake. Pull the e-brake and the rev-limiter would be set. I can't quite remember why I didn't go that route but If I'm remember correctly the power was opposite of what I wanted. (When the e-brake was down was when the 1 stage rev-limiter would set).

My friends started giving me suggestions on how to use it with the e-brake but I just got lazy and used the switch.
